A Shift in the Wind

I have spent the last 10 years shooting primarily weddings - a job that I love and adore beyond measure. It makes sense that through the years as I've shot more and more weddings, I have in turn met couples whom I've stayed connected to and thus ended up also photographing their bumps, babies and families as they grow.

While I am still very much actively shooting weddings I will admit that the wind has shifted and I find myself more and more introducing myself as a "family photographer".

This session was a moment for me. It was a client I adored, who gave me creative license and the shots gave me a renewed idea of exactly what a "family photographer" was.
